The Largest Money Laundering Operation in the world is currently underway in China, however, the strangest thing about this operation is that it’s a totally legit and duly authorized by the Chinese government and it’s being carried out by the Central Bank of China in broad day light, as a matter of fact, the Central Bank announced the whole thing at a press conference.
After facing backlash from the Chinese people for its handling of the spread of corona virus, the government is not taking anything for granted, therefore, the government has launched a huge money laundering operation to keep the Yuans clean.
The central bank has been ordered by the government to disinfect the currency in circulation and lock-up (quarantine) the disinfected Yuans in vaults for 14 days!
Banks use ultraviolet light or high temperatures to disinfect yuan bills, then seal and store the cash for seven to 14 days. Fan Yifei, the deputy governor of China’s central bank, said on Saturday that banks had been urged to provide new banknotes to customers whenever possible. The central bank made an “emergency issuance” of 4bn yuan in new notes to Hubei province, the centre of the outbreak, before the recent lunar new year holiday, Fan added.
Banknotes are notorious for carrying viruses and other disgusting pathogens, according to the New York Times, a team of scientists, who examined $1 bills from New York City subway system (in 2107) found traces of illicit drugs, viruses and other harmful live pathogens that survived up to 12 days.
The Chinese government is taking every precaution to minimize the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19), however, the death toll is increasing every day and the number of infections spreading by about 2,000 a day, mostly in the Wuhan area.
