The mysterious Lung Disease linked to Vaping, E-Cigarettes has now reached 48 states and has claimed 18 lives and 1080 injuries, many requiring hospitalization and critical intensive care.
Thousands of CDC and FDA experts trying to get to the bottom of this mystery, and now the FTC is looking at the marketing dimension, especially, the huge explosion of underage vaping that caught the state and federal agencies by surprise and pressure from public prompted many states to ban E-cigarettes outright.
The FTC is seeking information from the Big Six E-Cigarette purveyors, according to the Wall Street Journal, FTC has opened an investigation of JUUL’s marketing practices in August, in addition to JUUL, the FTC is seeking information from the following companies: Nu Mark (Altria Group) RJ Reynolds Vapor (Reynolds America) Fontem U.S (Imperial Brands) Logic Technology (Japan Tobacco) and NJOY.
The goal of the FTC investigation to better understand the rapidly growing e-cigarette and vaping market and help the commission and policy makers craft better policies to prevent harm to the public.
A recent NBC News commissioned Lab Test revealed that most of the Black Market Vaping products contained many harmful chemical additives, including Vitamin E Acetate, Pesticides and heavy metals.

The NBC News Crew also purchased three branded products from legal dispensaries in California, the CannaSafe testing company found No Heavy Metals, Pesticides or Vitamin E in products sold in the legal dispensaries.
